Proud to be Brown

I am proud to say that I am a Filipina or a Pinay..

My skin is brown, I have round eyes, flat nose and black hair.

Never have I wanted to be fair or blonde.
Never have I wanted to like in a country where it snows.
Never have I wanted to marry a foreigner in the hopes that I would be given a green card and live "the American (or European or Australian,etc) dream."

Its Filipino all the way for me.

That said, I love Charmainee Clamor's song "My Funny Brown Pinay." Her voice is just something else; its soothing, cool, hypnotic, dreamy, lovely.
